Somehow, the July 4 weekend is almost here again, and Amazon Prime Day sales are already over. That calendar shift from traditional July dates into June wasn’t the only change to hit this year. So here’s a quick rundown of what has been going on.
For starters, I picked up a few new duties in March, adopting the Editor-in-Chief title at Digital Commerce 360. I’m excited, because this means doing a lot more with out full scope of coverage as a media company across the online retail vertical I was primarily focused on previously, only now playing a bigger role overseeing our all of our B2B digital commerce coverage as well. In 2026, we’ve already added new data product offerings, grown social video viewership across channels, and also produced and launched some new reports and webinars that I look forward to doing more with in the months ahead.
A few more highlights:
- hosting a panel at SubSummit in Kansas City about scaling operations in online retail
- publishing the new Top 1000 Report for 2026, covering the biggest signals from Digital Commerce 360’s biggest database
- last week’s larger recap of top ecommerce trends in 2026
- a new report, “AI Spotlight: Optimizing Data for Agentic Commerce,” along with a webinar and survey results about online shoppers’ perceptions about AI and data when they make purchases
- the new edition of our annual omnichannel report, with looks at how retail chains are prioritizing omnichannel offerings across digital channels and physical stores
- some new visuals for the monthly ecommerce stock index that we monitor with Baird
