Work went mobile over the past month, and you were as likely to find me in the field as online, so I’m here to drop a few links and updates. One of the big stops in September was Salesforce’s 2024 Dreamforce conference at San Francisco’s Moscone Center. As always, Salesforce maximized their use of the space there — both indoors and outdoors. I was at the show for Digital Commerce 360 to take some meetings, interview sources for reports, and generally get up to speed on the latest artificial intelligence and ecommerce platforms news.
Notable stories from the week included:
- Use of Salesforce’s new Agentforce features at Saks
- How Skechers upgraded its ecommerce platform to scale globally
- What Advanced Turf Solutions did to launch omnichannel, as well as B2C and B2B ecommerce

A few days later, I spent an all-too-brief stay in Chicago to help host and moderate live discussions at Digital Commerce 360’s EnvisionB2B event. You can read some more about what happened here. Lastly, I’ll leave you with a short update on results from the 2024 Global Online Marketplaces report we released earlier this year. This was a big one, so I put together a video to capture highlights from the annual rankings:
