End of 2021 signal check

The end of 2021 may look much like the end of 2020 in many ways for a lot of us. The world kept moving forward, though, this year — adapting to the pandemic, grappling with unprecedented supply chain issues, and keeping the old guard of the financial world guessing about the future of blockchain technology and cryptocurrency. Personally, I’m happy to say that I’ll close the year exploring new territory.

In October I stepped into a new role overseeing research and editorial strategy at Inside.com, taking on a mission where I’ll lead newsletter operations at a great B2B media company and launch a new social news experience that I can’t wait for everyone to be able to see.

Limitations on socializing with friends and family have been difficult, of course. That’s probably a universal statement for almost anyone reading this. I’m proud to say we made some memorable experiences work, though, seeing old faces, exploring Yosemite National Park, and finally taking in Diego Rivera’s “Pan American Unity” mural that’s now housed at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art.

Watch for more professional updates to come in the new year. I’ll have plenty to share on Twitter and LinkedIn as always in the months to come. There’s hard work to be done, but great things to be unlocked. Have a rewarding and healthy new year, wherever you are, and may 2022 be a year when we all get more things right than wrong.
